Our Process

  • Clean Carpet & Upholstery, Inc. utilizes "Low Moisture Cleaning", widely used in Western & Southern US, Europe, Canada and Australia. Not until recent advances in Polymer technology has this method become as effective, if not more so then than the traditional Steam Cleaning Method.
  • First, we perform a thorough vacuuming of the area to be cleaned. It has been proven that up to 79% of all soil in carpeting is dry and loose. It is vital that this is removed before adding any moisture to the fabric, or else the cleaning will be incomplete and short-lived. Maintaining a clean carpet also requires regular vacuuming.
  • After the dry extraction is complete, depending on the degree of soiling, we apply the appropriate pre-spray treatment onto the surface of the carpet. This pre-spray helps loosen the oily soil that has attached to your carpet fibers and makes cleaning easier.

  • After several minutes, we "scrub" the area and apply our "Encapsulators". The agitation of the pads will release the sticky soil from the fibers, without the need for excessive amounts of water. As the soil releases, it is "captured" and crystallized into a fine dust. Because of the properties in our Encapsulation detergent, your carpet is left with a "fluro guard" protection, allowing the carpet to remain cleaner, longer.

  • Because the whole process uses only a gallon of water for every 300 square feet or so of carpet, drying takes place with in the hour! Traditional Steam Cleaning can leave the carpets wet for over a day!

There are two significant benefits that Encapsulation provides to you. One is immediate, the other long term.

  • This is the best cleaning you will have ever experienced, and your carpet will be dry in less than an hour.

  • Because we don't over wet your carpet, you will not experience many of the common problems associated with steam cleaning, such as browning, carpet expansion, carpet shrinkage and those nasty stains that reappear the next day. Our method gives your carpet a healthier longer life.
